Stop and Smell the Rosé
Wine is clearly one of our favorite topics, and as Summer rapidly approaches what is better to sip than Rosé?
This versatile style of wine is fresh and vibrant, which is why it comes highly recommended from our beverage guru, Brent Karlicek, as the perfect summer drink. People typically don’t know what to expect from this sexy wine, so we’re going to give you a little run down on becoming a Rosé expert!
Against all odds, Rosé is not the product of mixing white and red wine together. In fact, Rosé actually gets its luscious color from to the amount of time the grapes’ skins are left sitting in the wine during the fermentation process. The darker the color of the Rosé, the longer they sat in their own skin.
The best part about this wine is that it can be made from many, many different kinds of grapes, depending on the country its coming from! You’ve probably seen the ever-popular blends of Grenache, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Tempranillo, blended to produce your desired Rosé.
It is the finest compliment to a barbeque on a hot day, or even as a mixer for your favorite cocktail. And guys – there’s no shame in drinking pink.
Just do it.
